In Asia, Christianity still faces the challenge of capably engaging the non-Christian religions in spite of its long historical presence. Today it sees a new challenge: the great global movements of people within and outside of Asia that call for a fresh and robust Christian witness. This article proposes that trinitarian missiology offers key theological insights and missiological approaches that allow it better to engage the religious pluralisms of Asia and its globalization of people movements in today’s world. Two such proposals are mindful church-mission partnerships in pluralistic settings and a trinitarian perichoresis that integrates Christian hospitality with the reception of global migrants.
